Kinpins show New york 2010


Kingpins New York Edition – 13th –14th July

clip_image002The next edition of Kingpins denim show  is being held at New York on July 13th and 14th.  As has been the trend in the last 2 years, the show is expected to  surpass the previous editions in terms of buyer attendance and interest. The show is being sponsored by Invista -one of the world’s largest integrated producers of polymers and fibers, primarily for nylon, spandex and polyester applications and owner of the famous LYCRA® brand.
The New York Kingpins show will include 25 exhibitors representing all facets of the denim and casual sportswear value chain from fiber and fabrics to laundries and trim.

Melbourne Textile Washing Plant (MTWP)– Sri Lanka

The first Sri Lankan company to participate in Kingpins, MTWP is a two decades old washing plant with a washing capacity of about 1,50,000 pieces per day. With an investment of over $20 million , the company serves US and European customers  like Victoria’s Secret/GAP/Tommy Hilfiger/Anne Taylor/Lands End/Nike/ American Eagle/Levis/Next etc. Some of their latest innovative wash results  they wish to display include  those from :
  • Wave dye – A dye route which does not have an impact on the reverse side of the garment even though done in garment form.
  • Euro Battage – The facility of injecting dye chemicals inside the machine in order to achieve a look of a print.

Grubig  Int. Co. Ltd– Korea

Grubig is  the manufacturers and exporter of all kinds of leather garments and claim to  start fashions for leather garment, washed, garment - dyed, garment - spray, etc. They are introducing the washed denim effect effect on leather garments during the show. Absolute Denim – Thailand

With a capacity of about 2 million of mtrs  of denim fabrics per month, Absolute Denim is one of the important  denim companies from Thailand. The mill is vertically integrated from spinning to finishing.

Denimatrix is a vertically integrated producer of fashion denim jeans based in Guatemala city. Working with clients like Gap, Abercombie & Fitch , Guess etc, they are a part of the Textile and Apparel Division of Plains Cotton Cooperative Association (PCCA), a farmer-owned cooperative headquartered in Lubbock, Texas (USA). Their  American Cotton Growers(ACG) denim mill at Littlefield, Texas, is a major denim manufacturer renowned for its innovative, high-fashion fabrics .
